Womens Base Layer
Base Layers are designed to draw moisture away from your skin and make you feel warmer and more comfortable. They are made from artificial or natural fabrics, each offering different properties. Artificial fabrics dry quickly and are smooth next to the skin. Natural fabrics (wool or cotton) have much more resistance to odour and breathe more efficiently than artificial fabrics. In the case of cotton, whilst it feels the best next to the skin, it also retains moisture easily and for this reason is not ideal as a base layer. Wool however dries quickly and remains warm even when wet.
