Womens Insulated Clothing
Insulation works by trapping air which is then heated up by your body to provide a warm barrier between you and the cold outside. Goose down gives the best warmth to weight ratio of any material for clothing and Down Jackets are therefore the warmest insulated jackets you can buy. Artificial insulation is not as warm as down for its weight but does have the advantage that when wet it remains warm and dries quickly. Down looses its thermal properties when wet and takes a long time to dry out.
