The Patagonia Down Sweater is a light jacket with highly compressible down insulation and a windproof shell for cold mountain pursuits. It delivers minimal weight, superb compressibility and amazing warmth.
The ripstop shell with a DWR finish does more than look sharp: It's tear-resistant and windproof and made from 100% all-recycled polyester. Details include top-quality 800-fill-power goose down, a quilted-through construction, two exterior zippered pockets, a stretch-mesh interior chest pocket that doubles as a zippered stuff sack and a karabiner clip-in loop.
Many clothing manufacturers are now recognising the value of lighter weight down insulation. As an emergency layer in cold environments the down sweater is ideal. For its size and weight a down sweater like this will produce more insulation than the equivalent weight synthetically insulated top. In slightly warmer conditions, with its windproof qualities it is ideal as an outer stand alone jacket.
